Co-creating a safe place for women and girls to rise to their full potential!
A Case For Leaving is a project of Second Story Women's Centre where women who have experienced abuse use a suitcase to anonymously tell their story. The project began with funds fromThe Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation enabling us to hire artist Kate Church to work with Sally Hutchinson to develop the idea. The purpose of the project is to use creativity as a vehicle for healing and expression while raising awareness of abuse.
The cases travel to public spaces and invite personal responses written on luggage tags making it an interactive display.
A Case for Leaving on display at Margaret Hennigar Library, LCLC, Bridgewater beginning April 21st, 4 pm
